THE SPAN
SPAN is a Geneva-based network connecting secretaries and personal assistants, as well as administrative assistants, working at Permanent Missions, United Nations institutional bodies and international organizations, based in Geneva. The abbreviation stands for « Secretaries and Personal Assistants Network ».
The Network’s history goes back to 2008 when a group of like-minded colleagues came up with an idea to create a network for secretaries and personal assistants to be able to meet with each other and socialize outside work.
The network currently has over 200 members that represent more than 175 countries and 30 international organizations. SPAN is managed by SPAN Committee on non-lucrative basis. SPAN Committee regularly organises events for its members. Since April 2019 it is composed of the following persons:

The Committee Members have various roles ranging from liaison with our partners, in-charge of the administrative tasks and handling the e-mails, treasurer, organizing events and so forth. All this on a voluntary basis and in addition to their respective jobs.
OUR VISION
The SPAN has a vision to grow and become the best and most performant secretaries and assistants’ network recognized in various circles of international and local Geneva. Through our platform, members will be able to interact with each other both in professional and social settings.
Our objective is to make life easier and simpler through contact, networking and building long lasting friendships.
The SPAN platform aims to be the “one stop place” to go to get relevant information whether it be finding contacts, useful templates for working purpose or organizing any small or large events.
